Black and white lends a certain timeless quality to the photographs, a classic elegance almost that time cannot touch. That raw, natural, uninhibited moment captured between a couple is some how extra special in black and white.

Have a good think about what really makes you happy. For some people an elopement style, smaller & intimate wedding maybe the way to go. The Coromandel Peninsula offers so many beautiful little spots for a smaller and chilled wedding. Scroll down to view photos I took for a very special couple who married at Sailors Grave (love this beach) near Tairua. The storm lifted an hour before Lem and his gorgeous boys welcomed Amanda onto the beach with a heart felt Haka. Such a moving experience. I felt privileged to be part of their special day together with Lemeul's grandmother and marriage celebrant Donna from Sunlovers Retreat who arranged their elopement wedding.

I love getting creative and collaborating with other wedding vendors on the Coromandel. It feels good to push the boundaries sometimes and try something a bit different. The beautiful Helena featured above agreed to model for us. Jodie from Rouge Beauty looked after her hair and makeup and Brooke from Dooley Street Styling came up with the concept for the shoot and created the beautiful floral pieces. Elizabeth May's Asana jumpsuit was chosen as a point of difference, and florals in soft orange and warm peach mirrored the golden glow of the sun setting.

I often travel throughout New Zealand ( and the Pacific Islands when I'm lucky) to photograph weddings. Scroll down to view photos from a wonderful winter wedding at Chateau Tongariro in the Tongariro National Park. The backdrops here are a photographer's dream with volcanic rocky mountains, lush green beech forests and the majestic historic hotel itself. I loved Lisa's dress and it just so happened she is a professional ballroom dancer so we were able to get some stunning shots of her in her element dancing for the camera.

What an awesome day! Stone Terrace situated above Hot Water Beach is an amazing wedding venue here on the Coromandel. The views are to die for and the architecture and design of the building itself is simply stunning. I had so much fun with these two who had a wonderful mix of friends and family at their special day. Ange opted for having a 'first look' prior to their ceremony in the forest behind Stone Terrace. As you will see when you scroll down, we had great weather so we went down to Hot Water Beach for sunset photos before the legendary band White Chapel Jak started the party.

A warm and tropical wedding in Rarotonga became a winter wedding on the Coromandel due to Covid 19. Tangiaro Retreat near Port Charles was a perfect plan B as they have accommodation for 60+ guests and the wedding party could spend a few days together in this magical spot.

Loved this day with Dan & the absolutely stunning Leesa. A beautiful mix of friends and family attended their backyard wedding. They had some very cool vintage cars as the wedding was in Whangamata home of Beach Hop.

A perfect early morning proposal at Cathedral Cove on a stunner of a Coromandel morning. Nate contacted me a month prior and we arranged for me to be on the beach ready to capture the special moment. B was genuinely surprised ( and super stoked) and it was such a special moment to be witness. Such a sweet couple. Loving the early morning light, so worth getting out of bed at 530am for!

Loved getting creative before the crazy summer season with a talented bunch of wedding vendors. Helena Lucia is the gorgeous babe who modeled for us, such a pleasure to work with and photograph. Brooke from Dooley Street Styling created these amazing flower arrangements and concept for the styled shoot. Jodie from Rouge Beauty worked her magic with Helena's makeup and hair. Julia from Elizabeth May Bridal created these stunning wedding gowns . Love the jumpsuit!

A perfect weather day for Simon & Ebony's beach wedding at Whangamata on the Coromandel. How stunning is this spot for a wedding ceremony?

How epic is this spot for ' first look' wedding photos? We literally had the entire beach to ourselves. The joys of getting married mid week at Otama Beach on the Coromandel. A super chilled small wedding celebrated with family on a perfect weather day.

A beautiful Coromandel Elopement Wedding at my favourite little spot, Otama Beach. The Pohutaka trees are in full bloom now and looked stunning with Katie's wedding flowers from Dooley Street Styling. A gorgeous weather day too!

Wyuna Bay, not far from Coromandel town is home to Craig's family bach. A perfect spot to tie the knot with family and friends. Ariane is from Seychelles so a tropical themed wedding was important to her. Absolutely loved this wedding, such a beautiful couple inside and out to spend the day with! Everyone was super happy and as you can see we had perfect weather and a stunner of a sunset to top it off.

It's amazing to think that this beautiful wedding venue 'Tangiaro Retreat' exits by Port Charles near the top of the Coromandel Peninsula. A great option if you want somewhere all your guests can stay too, and spend a quality few days together at one with nature! Lloyd & Harmonee couldn't stop smiling, it really was everything they had hoped for an more. Their guests were super stoked too and were buzzing at how unique this special spot on the Coro is.

Love the Kuaotunu Hall, so much history and in my local K town village. Hayden & Summer wanted a super chilled vibe where they could really enjoy time with friends and family, with plenty of beautiful wine and delicious Lukes Kitchen's platters & pizza's. The brief was lots of candid photography!

What an incredible venue! This my first time photographing a wedding at the Lead Foot Ranch near Hahei on the Coromandel. There were so many stunning back drops for photos. Exploring the beautiful property with Deb & Arno and their awesome bridal party was lots of fun.

I love mixing up where I shoot weddings, the more variety the better. This hidden gem is called Bridgewater Country Estate and is situated up in Helensville in amongst the lush native bush. A great day spent with two beautiful families and friends.
